The Cluster Sofia Knowledge City envisages the creation of a “Cluster Center for Smart Urban Technologies”. A shared R&D infrastructure will be built for the development, testing, integration and implementation of technologies in the field of IoT, Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation.
The initiative is motivated by the concept of a New European Bauhaus and supports the cluster’s goal of creating investment conditions for the benefit of cluster members and the city’s innovation ecosystem. The initiative will be implemented in cooperation with с National Center of Excellence Mechatronics and Clean Technologies.
News from our partner organisation Electric vehicles industrial cluster (EVIC). Electric vehicles industrial cluster and Henry Ford Hgh School held an international meeting on the topic of presenting solar cars.
The opening ceremony took place with great interest on April 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Henry Ford School with the participation of officials from the Ministry of Education and Science and leading Bulgarian universities.
Delegations from three countries - Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey - attended. The meeting was organized in connection with the implementation of the Project Presentation of Solar Cars 2023-1-BG01-KA210-VET- 000167083.
Cluster Sofia Knowledge City supports the initiative of its members InnoBiz Academy and Association Treatment of COVID-19 with Convalescent Plasma to implement "2025-2035 - Decade of Dr. Albert Schweitzer", aimed at preserving and developing the legacy of the eminent winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for 1952.
We are creating a Public Committee to celebrate the decade of this remarkable person and invite representatives of science and education to join us.
On March 18-21, 2025, the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City , together with the Joint Innovation Center of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Technical University of Sofia, hosted an INVESTech COVE – Innovation Vocational Excellence in Tech, including a two-day transnational partner meeting (TPM), a one-day workshop and a one-day study visit to Sofia Tech Park.
The InvestTech project is led by the TU of Košice and is an innovative initiative funded under the Erasmus + Program to support the excellence in VET in ICT. 40 representatives of 18 organizations, schools, universities, companies and NGOs that are involved in the implementation of this project participated in TPM.
