The 2-nd National Expert workshop on the topic of establishing a Center for Excellence in Vocational Education (CoVE) is about to be held. We invite like-minded people and partners who are experts on this topic to be our guests on 10.12.2024, Tuesday, at 2:00 p.m., at the Student Complex, 1 Rosario Str., 1756 Sofia. Following the meeting held a month ago, this is the second event in this format, where experts in the field of vocational education and training (VET) have the opportunity to exchange experiences and hold a discussion on the role and activities that such a center would perform at the national and international level. The meeting will also discuss the idea of creating a transnational platform for CoVE, initially as a network of five European countries, and then in a broader context.
At the first meeting of the new Management Board of the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City, held on November 5, 2024. Mr. Ivan Velkov Velkov was unanimously elected Chairman of the Management Board.
He will take over the management of the cluster from his predecessor Dimitar Hristov, who is one of the founders and had a permanent involvement in the governing bodies and operational management of the association from the beginning of its foundation in 2017. Mr. Ivan Velkov graduated in economics in Beijing, China, where he then worked as a consultant in international companies.
On 23.10.2024, a focus group workshop for the InvesTech Project was held at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The meeting was moderated by Milena Koleva from the Sofia Knowledge City Cluster and Teodora Sotirova from the Unified Innovation Center of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The participants in the focus group are representatives of partner organizations of the three Bulgarian organizations participating in the InvesTech Project - Sofia Knowledge City Cluster, TUES - Technical University and the Unified Innovation Center of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The purpose of the meeting was to conduct a study of the trends, conditions and attitudes in the ICT sector in seven previously specified technological areas.
Today, 04.11.2024, the Reporting and Election General Assembly of the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City took place. Although it is a business association created for the benefit of its members, the association is registered under the Law on non-profit legal entities and complies with the requirements of this law and its Articles of Association and Internal Rules. Representatives of 28 legal entities registered to participate in the meeting, which ensured a quorum for its holding. Dimitar Hristov - Chairman of the Management Board - was elected Chairman of the General Assembly, and Dimitar Kokalanov - cluster coordinator - was elected as minute-taker.
