An event under the InvestTech Project is coming up in Sofia

On March 18-21, 2025, the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City, together with the Joint Innovation Centre of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the TUES at Technical University of Sofia, will host a comprehensive event under the InvestTech Project, including a two-day partner working meeting, a one-day seminar and study visits to organizations with experience and good practice in collaboration between education and business.

The InvestTech project, led by the Technical University of Košice, is an innovative initiative funded by the Erasmus+ Programme to support excellence in vocational education and training in the field of ICT. The creation of five Centres of Excellence in vocational education and training (CoVEs) in the ICT sector is underway in Bulgaria and four other countries.

They will gradually be linked into a transnational CoVE platform of collaboration.

This will be the second workshop, after the one in Košice, Slovakia in April 2024. It will bring together over 40 participants from 18 universities and training organizations from five countries - Bulgaria, Greece, Slovakia, Lithuania and Cyprus. The meeting itself is planned for March 18 and 19 and will take place at the Distance learning center of the International Business School in Sofia. Its program includes a review of the project progress, presentation and analysis of the achieved results, assessment of the implementation and emerging challenges, analysis of the commitment of the project stakeholders in each country, etc. The different concepts of the individual countries for CoVEs will also be presented, according to the national specificities in vocational education and training.

After the workshop on March 20, a one-day seminar on the topic "Defining a transnational InvesTech CoVE platform of collaboration under the InvestTech Project" will be held. This seminar will present the vision, goals and objectives of the planned transnational platform of collaboration and will disccus the Strategic Development Plan for the CoVE platform. Panel discussions and group work are also planned.

On the last day of the event on March 21, all participants will visit the Hack TUES 11, which is traditionally held in Sofia Tech Park, after which the participants will be guests of Bulgarian companies, distinguished by good achievements and practices in the collaboration between education and business.
