News from Electric vehicles industrial cluster (EVIC)

News from our partner organisation Electric vehicles industrial cluster (EVIC). Electric vehicles industrial cluster and Henry Ford Hgh School held an international meeting on the topic of presenting solar cars. 

The opening ceremony took place with great interest on April 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Henry Ford School with the participation of officials from the Ministry of Education and Science and leading Bulgarian universities. 

Delegations from three countries - Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey - attended. The meeting was organized in connection with the implementation of the Project Presentation of Solar Cars 2023-1-BG01-KA210-VET- 000167083.

An event under the InvestTech Project is coming up in Sofia

On March 18-21, 2025, the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City, together with the Joint Innovation Centre of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the TUES at Technical University of Sofia, will host a comprehensive event under the InvestTech Project, including a two-day partner working meeting, a one-day seminar and study visits to organizations with experience and good practice in collaboration between education and business. 

The InvestTech project, led by the Technical University of Košice, is an innovative initiative funded by the Erasmus+ Programme to support excellence in vocational education and training in the field of ICT. The creation of five Centres of Excellence in vocational education and training (CoVEs) in the ICT sector is underway in Bulgaria and four other countries.

News from Sofia on INVESTech project!

On March 18-21, 2025, the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City , together with the Joint Innovation Center of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Technical University of Sofia, hosted an INVESTech COVE – Innovation Vocational Excellence in Tech, including a two-day transnational partner meeting (TPM), a one-day workshop and a one-day study visit to Sofia Tech Park.

The InvestTech project is led by the TU of Košice and is an innovative initiative funded under the Erasmus + Program to support the excellence in VET in ICT. 40 representatives of 18 organizations, schools, universities, companies and NGOs that are involved in the implementation of this project participated in TPM.

The forum iNNOBIZ1 successfully ended

The First Forum for Economic and Social Impact InnoBIZZ1, supported by the cluster, started on December 12 and was successfully completed on December 15 at the National Center for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies at the Technical University of Sofia (CTU). The main organizer of the forum was iNNOBIZ Academy with the support of CTU and Cluster Sofia Knowledge City. The focus of this forum was the social impact of investments. Topics discussed included the investment roadmap from knowledge to technology, the nature, scale and risks of investments in knowledge and innovation, the positive aspects of European investment policies, the role of investments in human capital development and many others.
