Since the beginning of this year, the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City together with 5 EU partners has launched a new project under the Erasmus+. This project comes as a continuation of other green and circular economy projects in which the cluster participates directly or indirectly in supporting its members. 

Such are, for example 

• Green Skills for Better Employability (DEGREBE); 
• Collective Innovation to Fight Climate Change; 
• Impact Incubator for Nurturing Sustainability (i2Sustain); 
• Biodiversity and Climate Change Community Champions; 
• Joint Venture;
• Towards the green economy transition in cities, etc.

Over the lifetime of the project Collective Innovation to Fight Climate Change the partners are being completing multiple surveys in order to understand the views and experiences of a range of actors regarding climate change. The newest survey aims to provide an overview of current practices adopted by SMEs and entrepreneurs to involve their employees in ‘green’ behavior within the enterprise while highlighting the successes and challenges that face these enterprises within this context.  Click here to participate in this new sustainable workplaces survey!

Previous survey was about the green transition process. It asked about the readiness, commitment and needs to do business or implement projects in the fields of fighting climate change, the green transition and the circular economy. Click here to view the results.

In the period December 2022 - January 2023, 10 new organizations joined the Sofia City of Knowledge Cluster community. These are small and medium-sized companies, start-ups, a non-governmental organization and the coordination unit of BAS, which recognize the strategy and goals of the cluster and believe that "knowledge" is the basis of economic development. We believe that they also share the main motto of the cluster "to change the ecosystem of the city for good while doing business in it". They are all part of the value chain that transforms information into knowledge and knowledge into innovation for the benefit of the city. We welcome the following new cluster supporters:

Under the name "Digital Transformation & Green Transition" and the slogan "Digital transformation takes Smart Cities to new Height" the Smart City Summit &Expo (SCSE) will take place both in Taipei & Kaohsiung from March 28th to April 1st, 2023. The active topics of the event are Smart Building; Eecurity/Surveillance; Smart Healthcare; Smart Mobility/Transportation; Smart Fintech; Smart Agriculture; Smart Retail/E-commerce; Industry 4.0; Education; Smart Home; Cloud Computing; AI＋IOT; Smart Governence; Smart Energy.
