How Bulgaria is fighting climate change

This article presents part of the desk study that our Cluster's member the Knowledge, Innovation and Strategies Management Club (KISMCdid in preparation of the second intellectual product of the Collective Innovation to Fight Climate Change (FCC project).

Since the results of this project is related to the work the cluster already did in this area (look at this article) we share it here. The article provides very brief and basic information on how Bulgarian government fight with climate change.

Development of Green Soft Skills for Better Employability

At the end of 2021 Cluster Sofia Knowledge City together with five EU partners started a new project named "Development of Green Soft Skills for Better Employability" (DEGREBE). The Project N°: 2021-1-HU01-KA220-VET-000024924 is under the Erasmus+ Program and is aimed at developing a digital educational package focused on the development of green skills and creating a guide for trainers and coaches to support the adoption of innovative approaches and digital technologies in education.


Тhe results of MediaMotor Europe Project

On 30.04.2022 г., after 28 months of intensive and inspired work by the project teams of 7 partner organizations (VRTMedia City BergenTHERMI S.ACluster Sofia  Knowledge CityAthens Technology CenterFasttrack Ventures and F6S), the project "MediaMotor Europe" (ММЕ), cofinancd by Horizon 2020 finished. Today, on June 20, 2022, the results of this project will be presented on a meeting with the experts of the European Commission.

 What are the results of this project ?


Mentoring startups in the Innovation Hub Sofia

MediaMotorEurope (MME), a project co-funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme, was aimed to nurture high-potential European deeptech innovators solving today’s most prominent media industry challenges (including misinformation and fake news, protection of personal data) and support them in building scalable media solutions.

After 3 open calls, 3 support cycles and 61 selected and supported startups, MME ended in April 2022. For the entire term of this project, a total of 15 startups from different European countries passed the mentoring program ensured by the Innovation Hub Sofia.
